This book is a flashback to the days when you had to hand-code the HTML on your fledgling Web sites.
While the mobile Web is maturing quickly, and many apps and services will help you build mobile-ready content, chances are you may need to peak below the covers once in a while and do a bit of handcoding.
One of our favorite sites, Web Worker Daily, today highlighted a new book: Mobile Web Development. This quote from Web Worker Daily describes the value of this book succinctly:
If I were still coding, this book would probably mean as much to me today as Teach Yourself HTML in a Week by Laura Lemay meant to me back in the 90s. Even as the person who hires the coders on development projects, it was an interesting read, particularly getting a glimpse of how far HTML has taken us and where it seems to be going.
In the coming weeks and months, we're going to start looking at mobile development, marketing and e-commerce more closely. There's no better place to start than with the basics of how to get your content "mobilized."
